Plans for summer

This summer we are planning on taking a long holiday, six weeks, and tavelling down to Europe. We are going to drive down in the campervan that we bought last autumn, and have never really used yet.

Probably from the last week in June to the first week in August.

The rough plan is to go down through Germany and then head over to northern Italy and spend some time in the Dolomites. Then the idea is to head over to southern france and hopefully meet up with Chris in Nice and Sophie in the Pyranees.

Or we might reverse the route, however this way we may get lucky and find some tickets to the final of the world cup, or not.

If anyone else is heading in that direction give us a shout, or if you hae any good advice about things to do.

Going to Gothenburg

Ulrika and me have signed up for the Gothenburg Half Marathon again this year. I am really looking forward to it even though I am not nearly as far along with my training as I had hoped. With it being a long winter, the snow only melted a couple of weeks ago and I am too soft to go out running in the snow :-)

Luckily the Innebandy I have been playing twice a week seems to have kept me at a reasonable level of fitness.

SXSW 2006

If you like checking out new bands then you could much worse than download the SXSW showcase mps. The torrent files are about half way down the page. It comes to about 1000 songs in total.

Analog shutdown

Well, we are all digital now here is Uppsala. They turned off the analog TV signals here yesterday, and the world seems to have not blown up, as some were predicting.  I have been digital the last couple of months and would not go back. Much better picture, much better sound. Almost my favourite bit is that the "box" knows when it's a noremal or widescreen picture and changes the display accordingly. I really hated having to change the aspect ratio before. :-)
